How to Support the Map Center

The Map Center is a for-profit organization and it feels inappropriate to solicit donations. But The Map Center also means a lot to people and it’s a unique project that has a tremendous potential to serve the community. If you like what we’re doing and want to help out, here are a few things to do that make a big difference.

  • Most people these days don’t even know that a map store is a thing they can look for but leaving reviews on Trip Advisor, Google Maps, Apple Maps and Yelp help this business float to the top of searches for fun and education things to do in the area.

  • If you had a good time, let a friend know! Send someone an interview or video from our press page.

  • Maptime, author events and other events and collaborations are fun ways to meet other map nerds and learn something new together!

  • Buy Me a Coffee is a way to send someone a small nod of support. If you like what The Map Center does but don’t want to take home a new compass or a framed piece you can make a donation to help keep us going. These are not tax-deductible donations.

  • Make sure you have permission if it’s not your kid, obviously. But The Map Center relies on readers and explorers and if I’m going to have customers in 10 years, I need adults to support young learners today. That’s it. We’re playing the long game.
